Stump grinding in Conroe — below grade, cleaned up, gone

Fresh stumps, old stumps, the one hiding under the azaleas since the last owner. All of them grind.

What “ground out” actually means

The machine chews the stump 8–12 inches below grade — deep enough to sod over, replant grass, or set a flowerbed on top. What’s left is a pile of chips and soil. You can keep it as mulch (it’s good mulch), or we rake it out, top the hole with soil, and leave the spot flat. Want to plant a new tree in the same hole? Say so up front — that’s a deeper grind and we’ll quote it that way.

Why bother

Beyond the mower dodging it forever: pine stumps in this county are a standing invitation. Left in the ground they feed the same beetles and fungal mats that work on the living pines nearby, and hardwood stumps sucker back for years. A ground stump is done arguing.

Pricing

Stump grinding is the cheapest line on the tree-work menu. Most single stumps in Conroe run $100–$400 by diameter and access; batching several visits into one trip is where the deals live, and stumps ground the same day as a removal price best of all. Send a photo with a tape measure across the cut and we can usually quote it from the phone: request a quote.
